Way Alliance is an organization that supports youth transitioning from foster care to independence by helping North Texas youth with foster care experience (ages 14-24) establish trusting relationships, locate critical resources, and develop the vital skills necessary to begin healing from trauma and succeed in life. Through one-on-one mentoring, each participating youth will be teamed up with a trained and caring adult. They will focus on building a relationship, working together, working toward the youth’s goals, and helping establish a foundation for a successful future. Way Alliance also connects them to resources in our community to ensure their needs are met for housing, education, jobs, and more. These young people also are introduced to new educational and recreational opportunities where they can learn and practice vital life skills with an emphasis on self-advocacy.
